About

About Me

Dr. Hang-Shim Lee is currently an assistant professor at Konkuk University, Seoul, Republic of Korea. She worked at Oklahoma State University for three years (2014-2017) as as a tenured track faculty. Dr. Lee received her PhD from the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed her pre-doctoral internship at The Ohio State University. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, and her work has been recognized by American Psychological Association. Dr. Lee’s primary research interests include the career development of women and various marginalized groups in our society. She is also interested in enhancing the optimal functioning and psychological well-being of individuals in academic and workplace settings.  She enjoys traveling, learning new things and spending time with her friends and family.

About MVP lab

The Multicultural Vocational Psychology (MVP) Lab conducts various research that examines psychological and multicultural factors to enhance individuals’ career development and well-being. The MVP lab aims to identify and reduce the inner and external career barriers including societal or internalized stereotypes in the process to pursue the career goals of individuals who have multicultural backgrounds. The meaning of multicultural backgrounds in our MVP lab includes not only the racial/ethnicity, but also various cultural groups of individuals in terms of gender, age, national origins, various levels of social economic status in our society.

 

The MVP lab is open to both students and faculties who are interested in enhancing the optimal functioning in the career development and eventually, psychological well-being in academic or working settings.
